Our private 70-acre Rainbow Lake serves as the perfect centerpiece for our spectacular resort. Surrounded by rolling hills, Rainbow Lake invites you to indulge in a wide variety of water activities, such as boating, canoeing, and fishing. Experience the tranquility of nature with family and friends as you explore the beauty of Rainbow Lake. From the moment you enter our spacious resort, the size and beauty of Rainbow Lake will capture your attention!

Boating

Guests are welcome to enjoy a variety of boating options on Rainbow Lake, including paddle boats, kayaks and canoes. All boats are available at our boathouse. However, unlike most other campgrounds and parks, you won’t need to carry extra money with you. We do not charge our guests for using our boats, canoes, and kayaks. You heard that right. Use of these amenities is included with your stay! Our friendly boathouse staff will make sure that every guest is geared up with the right equipment and safety gear. You must bring your ID with you and guests under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Guests are also welcome to bring their own boats, as long as they are not motorized. Be sure to check for boathouse hours when you check in.

Fishing

For guests who love to fish, our resort offers not only 70-acre Rainbow Lake, which is a freshwater lake, we also feature two scenic spring fed ponds to practice your fishing pastime. Campers have pulled out trophy sized Bass, Perch, and Bluegill, Crappie, Bullhead and Catfish! Whether you’re looking for a peaceful afternoon of fishing from your boat, or relaxing with family on our shores, you are certain to have a wonderful time catching your favorite fish. Our lake and ponds are available for anglers of all ages and skill levels to enjoy. No license is required to fish anywhere on our property.

Swimming

Keep cool all season long, no matter what the weather is outside. Whether it’s a hot, sunny day or a rainy one, our guests can always enjoy a relaxing dip in the pool! Our two outdoor pools offer a stunning view of Rainbow Lake and a Poolside Cafe for a convenient snack or beverage. Swimmers of all ages are welcome to cool off in our outdoor pools any day of the week. Outdoor swimming pools are open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. For those that prefer to stay out of the sun or want to make the best of a rainy day, our spacious indoor pool and hot tub facility is the place to go. We sometimes hold water aerobics in our indoor pool for those who are interested in joining in some fun exercise. Come make a splash at Allegany Mountain Resort no matter what Mother Nature has chosen for the day! The entire family will love it.

Crafts and Activities

Feel free to get creative at our resort. Whether it’s a rainy day or you are simply looking for something to do, there are plenty of ways to have fun when you visit. We offer a wide variety of crafts and activities to keep our guests busy and creative. You may even make new friends when socializing at our events! You are welcome to stop by our Craft Cabin in our Family Lodge near the outdoor pools to use our huge stock of art supplies and games. We also feature many scheduled children, teens, and adult crafts where you will be guided through exciting projects. There is never a dull moment at our resort. When you visit, be sure to check out our extensive schedule of planned events and activities. We schedule events and theme weekends all season long for your enjoyment.
